The performance features include dual high-speed Intel® Xeon™ processors, which support Intel® EM64T technology and Dual Core technology. This means your system is already compatible with forthcoming native 64-bit operating systems and applications. The R720 delivers maximum Acer Altos performance density of flexible stand-alone server and simplifies cabling and helps reduce behind-the-rack clutter. Serial attached SCSI technology boosts storage performance to 3Gb/s per channel. Quad channel full buffered memory boosts performance, and is expandable to 32GB for future investment protection. The new memory subsystem on the R720 supports memory mirroring and sparing. Flexible design methodologies mean that you can selected between PCI-X and PCI Express expansion slots.
